Canopy Hunters
Jungle archers who strike from the trees. The Canopy Hunters start with Archery and an Archer, and their hero, the Shadow Stalker (a hunter who hides in the shadows of the trees), is invisible in forest and jungle.

Play style
Ambush and attrition. Jungle and forest tiles already make defenders much harder to hit, so the Canopy Hunters' home is a natural fortress.
Starting unit: Archer
Archer: 3 stars, 10 HP, attack 2, defence 1, 3 damage, moves 1, range 2.
Hero: Shadow Stalker
The Shadow Stalker is a hunter who hides in the shadows of the trees. Hidden in forest and jungle unless an enemy is next to it, and deals +50% damage when attacking from there.
12 HP, attack 3, defence 1, 5 damage, moves 2, range 1. A city recruits the hero for free when it reaches level 5, and again at level 10.
Canopy Hunters strategy
- Jungle (x1.2), forest (x1.15) and hills (x1.25) all make defenders harder to hit, and they stack. An Archer on a jungle hill, or on a forest tile in the jungle, is hard to remove.
- Archers have range 2. An enemy that can only reach range 1 can't hit back, so shoot first and keep a tile of space.
- For income, research Agriculture (Farms on flat land) and then Forestry (Lumber Mills on forest tiles, +1 star each).
- The Shadow Stalker is invisible in forest and jungle and hits 50% harder from there. Ambush units that walk into your trees.
